What does it mean to be of service to the Body of Christ?

The Believers' Prayer Room is a vital part of church order and spiritual growth for the Body of Christ. We have elders within the assembly that can work with you in seeking God for healing, deliverance, answers and guidance through prayer.

They are there as a service to the body and provide a place where there is no condemnation that you may confess your faults freely one to another as spoken of in James 5: 16.

14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:

15 and the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

This room is also for the manifestation of the gifts of the Spirit (1 Corinthians 12: 1-13) that they may not interrupt the Pastoral Service. It is important that we maintain Godly church order. However God chooses to administer the gifts is up to God. It is in this room that we keep the channel open.

We set this time aside to allow people to arrive and get settled in before the Song Service starts. We use this time to quietly meditate, pray or read our bibles. We do not walk around the sanctuary or talk during this time. It gives us an opportunity to reflect on what God has in store for us in the upcoming service and maintain a Godly atmosphere in the Sanctuary.

Phillipians 4: 8

8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Our song services typically last between 15 to 20 minutes. We usually sing a few traditional hymns and some praise and worship songs. Though we come to church to worship, we also come to hear the Word of God. We do not over-do or over-emphasize the Song and Worship Service. We are here to sincerely and truly worship the Lord Jesus Christ as we get ready to hear the Word of the Lord. We are not here to put on a big production or show.

Pastoral Service

We are an independent, non-denominational assembly of Bible believers. We have no creed but Christ, no book but the Bible, no law but Love.

"I believe that the ministry is from the pew up, not the pulpit down. Everyone has different spiritual, emotional, and physical needs. As a man, standing in the pulpit, I cannot meet the needs of the people. But God is more than able to meet their needs. God can speak directly to the heart of the believer and meet those needs right in the service. You should come to service prepared and expecting to hear from God, and not the man in the pulpit. If you are expectant and prepared, I believe God can supernaturally meet you and speak directly to your heart.",

Brother Steve Gulsby (Pastor)

We believe the ministry is to be led by the Holy Spirit of God and not by any creed of man or denomination.

Come and join us as we worship and celebrate our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ in Spirit and in Truth each Sunday!
